Basically, lazy eye is the common word for many conditions. Amblyopia is the visual condition and strabismus is the physical condition. Both are however caused by the same cause, namely a mental strain. You can relieve this mental strain by doing eye exercises, such described by William Bates. He also said that increasing the squint relieves the problem, both visual and physical.
